ATI-Driver Update on VGN-A317M

Hi Forum,
what are the correctly drivers for the VAIO VGN-A317M ?
An ATI X600 is built in and i want to update the driver for a better performance.(I hope it...)
Can i use the driver from the ATI-Homepage or must i wait for an official driver from Sony ?

Welcome to Club Vaio Soonny,

ATI do not offer support for Notebook graphic cards as the drivers have invariably been customised by the manufacturer. They recommend that you obtain a driver update from the manufacturer of your notebook computer.
Unfortunately this will probably mean a long wait until Sony decide to update:smileysad:

Search sometimes with google.com after the DNA drivers or omega driver. These are topically quicker and also fit to the graphic arts kind.

Those drivers are dangerouis and have been known to permanently damage the GFX chip in some VAIO's.

Its at your own risk!

Yeah, I have used the Omega drivers. But has a unwell feeling with this driver. Now I use the original driver and I feel me better.
