Audacity Program

Hi,
I have model vgn-fs415m I want to use a program called Audacity to record music that's playing. However when I open Audacity I get the message:-

Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate.

Any ideas, anyone?

Have you got the latest version of Audacity? If so, try an older one 🙂

Another issue you may have is that your sound drivers may not be configurable via Audacity, instead you need to enable/disable the appropriate inputs and outputs via your machine's onboard sound configuration utility (look in control panel or you may see an icon in the task tray for it).

Hi,
Thanks for help, problem solved. Downloaded latest Realtek Driver. And in device manager under system devices enabled 'microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition audio'
Am using latest version of Audacity now with no problems.
