Hotspot...

I'm having a bit of trouble with my first forays into using wireless hotspots. My understanding of the whole thing is that my VAIO should connect automatically and I access the internet through a portal website. Google searches seem to throw up a load of people trying to give me hotspot directories rather than hotspot help - can anyone point me at a good resource for understanding the whole thing so I can troubleshoot the problems I'm having?

What hotspots are you trying to use? Is this at home or out and about?

It was at Glasgow Airport that I tried. I'm aware of there being several networks available there.

Think you'll need to get a "TheCloud" account to use airport hotspots, I know that's the case in both Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon
