AV Mode

i have a FZ21M, and i think i remember reading that AV Mode is so you can play dvds without booting windows, but when i press the button is just does the same as the power button and turns my vaio on. ???

Hi kendo88,

Unfortunately the 'InstantON' Feature you describe is not available on FZ-Series Vaios purchased in Europe up until the FZ31. It is only available on the UX, CR, TZ and TX models.

It won't please you at all, but it is available on the new FZ31-Series Vaios which have just been released.

On your model, the AV-Mode only works from within Windows to select the player of your choice - pretty useless!!

ahh ok. i must say, it does not dissapoint me knowing i havent got this feature. its not anything i will miss, but it seems rather pointless having the button on my vaio haha. cheers blencogo
