Backward compatibility ?

I own a S3XP and i want to know if it is back ward compatible with a 7200 RPM non Serial ATA hard disk. My S3XP currently houses a 5400 RPM SATA hard disk by fujitsu.

The only thing you can go is get a 7200RPM SATA drive.
IDE won't work

Yeh its SATA. But they dont really make SATA 7200 RPM or do they ? I dont think they do for 2.5 inch anyway.

Maybe not for laptops yet, but SATA goes upto 10,000 on desktops now
