If you have Sonic Stage 3.3 you should rip your tracks to Atrac Lossless @ 256kbps, then transfer in 256kpbs to your player. this will give you the best sound quality. if you are gonna fill 40 gig too fast with this file size, transfer in 132 or 192kbps to keep it sounding good. any lower than this and the sound gets a bit mushy.
Transfer speed is way faster once you have ripped in Atrac Lossless as it creates special data files to allow lighnting quick encoding for all bitrates made from the original lossless recording.:smileycool:
