bluetooth not working

Hi everyone,

I cannot get the bluetooth working on my TX1HP laptop. The bluetooth light is on when I switch the laptop on, but after logging into it, it goes off after about 20 seconds.

When trying to add a new connection in the bluetooth settings it say's 'Bluetooth is not ready'!

Any ideas??

I got the same problem with my Sandisk Cruzer Micro usb stick,it's working directly on two other cheaper notebooks (supermarket and an acer),but not working on my Sony, though there are no drivers needed for XP. I couldn't open a new thread so I try this way.

I had the same problem and was stumped. The someone said I had to select bluetooth when I switched my wireless switch on. It was defaulting to my wireless lan.

Do you get the wireless device swtich window when you turn it on? If not you have to find it and use it to switch

My bluetooth doesn't work too, from my sony vaio laptop, it's on, but it doesn't connect to a phone. What can i do?
