Hi.
Is there a way to boot from USB on my VAIO VPCF13S0?
I have tried diffrent usb sticks that work on other computers, tried both the usb2 port and the two usb 3 ports.
Bios is updated to the latest version, but that didn't do much difference.
I have read here on the forum, mostly old threads, that it's not possible?? Is that really true?
If that is the case this computer must be the worst on i have ever owned!
Is it possible to use a SONY MicroVault usb unit to boot from?
i really need a solution for this!
Solved! Go to Solution.
I got it working now!
I tried yet another usb stick (noname 1gb) and it worked just fine.
Seems that my computer dont accept just any usb stick
Ohh, and i have to enable "boot from external" in bios, but i had done that before so...
So the solution was to change usb stick and enable extranal boot in bios and move the extranl boot option before internal harddrive in boot priority..
I haven't also seen it possible. Some say your USB should become bootable which others do something to it which I don't know, some say otherwise. I don't know what is real.
