Bought the SZ1XP - uninstall all unnecessary

Just bought the SZ1XP laptop and i'm happy :smileygrin:
But after opening the START menu, i wasn't so happy

How come Sony doesn't give users the option to either go for CLEAN Windows or Filled-with-useless-programs Windows

Does anyone know how i can get a clean install of windows xp sp2 on this machine with every function working but WITHOUT all the other useless stuff ?

1. insert your own windows edition and install the drivers.
2. remove the programs you don't want

Hi John and welcome to the forum.

You could always carry out a system recovery using just the first recovery disk (system plus a few progs that you may need to uninstall).
