Do I have to use software to burn DVD's cant I just format the DVD and write data to it?
Yes you do, specially if you want to do packet writing (thats the only reason you need to format a DVD)
Nero is very good.
So I have to install IN CD think I skipped that stage with Nero
Thanks.
Seems the Sony Click to DVD does not have a fit on disk option??
Yeah thats right, you need to install InCD
Yeah Sony's DVD software doesn't have packet writing or UDF, which is a pain really.
But I bet they do it to give Ahead and Roxio business.
no
my experience with the pigging software is that windows interferes with it and the software (in cd) splits the drive into cd and dvd and then it can't read anything. i slung out nero and use windows longwinded stuff for cds, but so far, nothing for my dvd rw disks. i look forward to the time when i can forward my dvds and use them like big floppies.
i'm still looking around for decent non-conflictive software. if i find any 'll try to remember to post you. don't hold your breath
