Can I always open my A397xp laptop?

Sometimes , I want to continue to open laptop serveral days, is it ok? Do I need to switch off the laptop within some time? Thank you!

But if I use the hibernate mode, can I still run my downloading software? I tried once time, when I use hebernate mode, the downloading software stoped.

i wouldnt unless its a desktop where you can turn off the monitor but leave the cpu on for downloading movie ect.. but laptop.. unless you can turn off the screen while the laptop is on.

but, if I turn off the screen and open the laptop, is it ok for the laptop? I can only turn off the screen while the laptop is on.

I don't know exactly what will you do, but If I not use my laptop then I switch it off. It's a useless energy consumption if I the laptop not use. Standby and Hibernate that's what I use.

I just open laptop to download something.

Set Windows to turn off the LCD after 20mins of no use and then just leave it open.

If you do not need to download or run anything then just use hibernate like Seb said
