Can I upgrade to a Dual Monitor card for VGN - BX297XP ?

Hello all

My laptop has an ATI Mobility Radeon X700 which supports connecting two monitors for a bigger view, but not for different images. So, as I now know that a true dual monitor card is what is needed, can I replace/upgrade the X700 - and if so, any recommendations ?

I also use the appropiate docking station which has a spare bay, DVI-D and external monitor support etc.

Thanks for any help - I did google this but nothing showed.

Hi cortala,

You cannot update the video card and your docking station only allows you to use VGA OR DVI-D - one at a time but not both together.

You will need an external multi-monitor upgrade like this one: -

Matrox DualHead2Go

They also do a triple monitor upgrade.

Hmm, hoped it wouldn't be that expensive though - I'll have a look on the bay and see what I can find.
