Can not switch off notebook

I bought VPC SE2V9R and have a problem

When I choose "Turn off" in Windows 7 or Sleep mode, after switched off in 2 seconds notebook switched on automatically.

In hypernation mode evertything is OK. Notebook switch off and doesn't switched on

I checked BIOS and battery settings in Windows. But I haven't found anything.

Could anybody help me to solve this problem?

Hi ch1alex,

There is no BIOS update available for your model and if there was this would be unlikely to resolve the problem you have. There are very few advanced parameters that you can change within the Sony BIOS.

First check that that wifi (in Device Manager > Network adaptors > properties – power management tab) is not set to allow the device to wake the computer.

Have you enabled Media Sharing under Network and Sharing Center? If so try the following:

Open Vaio Control Center > Power Management > Power Options > Advanced > Change plan settings > Change Advanced Power Settings > Expand ‘Multimedia Settings’ > Expand ‘When sharing media’ > For both ‘on battery’ and ‘plugged in’ select ‘Allow the computer to sleep’ – you may find that this is presently set to ‘Allow computer to enter away mode’.

If that is not the problem then examine Scheduled tasks (Device Manager > Administrative Tools > Task Scheduler > expand Task Scheduler Library and all subdirectories) for any program that is allowed to wake the computer to run a task – you will find this option on the ‘Conditions’ tab for each instance.

Was this working okay previously? And when did you start getting this issue?

Last option here is a system restore(not reset to factory defaults). You can also check the power options here. Through control panel. https://imagicon.info/cat/12-13/vmware_happy.gif

Can anybody help me?

May be in BIOS power management parameters are incorrect? But in Insyde H2O BIOS I don't see Power Management page. How I can check it? Or how I can check it from Windows?
