I recently purchased a Sony Vaio (model VPCEH3B1E) and cannot detect the webcam. I couldn't locate it anywhere in the device manager. I think it should be found under the Imaging Devices section but couldn't even find this section under the device manager. Can someone please advise if i'm missing the webcam driver and if i need to install something or am i looking in the wrong place?
Hi rains2012 and welcome.
Your webcam uses generic Windows drivers.
Do you have Arcsoft Webcam Companion listed in All Programs? What happens when you open it?
Search for your Vaio's drivers. You can use the serial code in the screen frame of your Vaio laptop. Once you found the driver for your webcam, download it and install.
I tried searching using the Serial number but nothing comes up? Nothing happens either when i open the Arcsoft Webcam companion. It just says that no webcam is detected which leads me to believe the driver is missing. Any other advice please?
