Hi
I have a new FZ31Z using vista, which is my first encounter with the 'new' operating system.
My issue is that music files that I place here C:\users\phil\music
cannot be played directly from WMP or added to the WMP library, I can play a music file in the above location by right clicking from within the folder.
The WMP option add to library shows C:\users\phil\music as a rip folder greyed out no option to change to automatically added.
Files here C:\users\public\music behave as expected, I am the administrator and only user, but I dont quite see why vista seems to be forcing me to have my music in a public folder.
Anyone help me out.
ta phil.
Hi Phil,
welcome to Club Vaio..
Are you not able to add your folder via Media Player options.
Select the Library tab, click Monitor folders, then click Add and then browse and add your C:\users\phil\music.?

Thanks had tried that already...does't work. The C:\users\phil\music is listed in WMP as a rip folder the status of which I can not change. I guess I will need to create an additional music folder in my profile and use that just seems odd that I am being 'forced' down this route.?
Thanks
phil.
