CD burner doesn't work!

I have an FS415s and since i bought it, i have been unable to burn cds. I can burn DVDs fine with various programs; Nero7, dvdsanta, winavi etc..but whichever program i choose to try and burn a cd, an error message pops up saying something like "unable to read memory ref at .......". Any ideas on how to solve ths problem?

Sony DVD-Roms are very gentle.

you must use good CD Brand ( like TDK, SmartBuy and Sony and .. )

Have you applied the Firmware update for your DVD Drive (12/4/2006) from VAIO-LINK ?
