cd burning problems

i have a vaio rs-224. until recently i was able to burn using philips cdrs, but now the only discs that will work are tdk cdrw. i am still able to burn dvds using sony dvdr. any ideas? pls help

i am not sure did you change the software you burn cds with?

Try cleaning the drive with a DVD lens cleaner
