I can hardly read the text on my new viao-screen due to the small size of everything displayed (and my old eyes  , i am a 40 yr old professional and i actually get a headache after squinting at this screen for two hours now) I just bought a new viao sz which has a 1280 x 800 pixels screen. i come from a viao which had 1024 x 768 pixels screen. When i adjust my new viao to that resolution (or even lower to 800 x 600) however things get 'fuzzy', the letters are no longer 'sharp and crisp''. Under different programs, like windows XP and explorer, there are options for changing display font size but that only affects (parts of) the window affected by those programs. Is there a way to emulate a different screensize without giving up on sharpness (I realize it will mean giving up on the amount one can see at any one time on the screen but 1024x768 is fine for me) tx mikey
Right-Click on your blank Windows desktop screen and choose Properties.
If you just want to increase the font size go to the Appearances Tab and choose Large Fonts in the box at the bottom.
If you want to increase the size of everything go to Settings>Advanced>General (from the original screen) and increase the DPI of your display.
At the top of the page there is an option in the view menu to change the text size smallest smaller medium larger and largest. I use this and it works fine on most sites without changing the contrast or pixels etc just the text size. Other websites have their option sometimes,
