connect Network Media Receiver with RZ504 wireless?

Hi,

My Vaio desktop (RZ504) is in my home-office and I want to use the network media receiver to stream music etc. to my dvd-player in my living room. My question is: do I HAVE to connect the network media receiver to my Vaio desktop computer with a cable? Is there any possibility to connect the receiver with my pc wireless? Can I use the wireless lan pc-card and router that came with the desktop to establish a wireless connection between the receiver and the desktop?

My desktop is connected to the internet through an adsl router with wireless lan. I have my desktop connected to my router with a network cable, so I'm not using the wirless lan pc-card and router that came with the RZ504. But I'm not sure if I can set it up to connect the receiver with my desktop.

I cannot find any info on this in the documentation so I'm guessing it's not possible..

Rik.

Thanks. As impatient as I am I started experimenting myself yesterday night. The way I wanted to set things up was not described in the manuals so I wasn't sure if it would work. It took me about a day to figure it all out but I have it working! The network media receiver is connected to the wireless converter now which communicates with my router with wireless lan that's is connected to my pc with a network cable. So I can now use the network media receiver to (for example) play music from my computer in my office on my dolby surround set in my living room. Kinda cool! No cables :smileyhappy:. Now all I have to do is record 500 cds on my hd and I will never have to grab another cd from the shelve, or put a disc into my player :smileycool:. I'll be sure to make a backup of my data..

Can someone tell me what the colors of the menu's on the tv screen are supposed to look like? They look kinda poor on my television. Grayish, I would say. I'm not sure if they are supposed to look like that. They look different than the colors of Vaio Media on my computer screen, not sure why. Maybe I need to buy an S-video cable instead of using the tullip ones (is that what they're called in english??)?
