Creating Recovery Discs.

I think this is a problem that is not unique to me. I have just purchassed a Vaio VGN-Z11WN and love it to bits. BUT I am unable to create the recovery disks. Gets to about 30% then ejects the disk with a message something like 'disc not cteated'. I have tried many times but always a failure. I am using DVD - R disks which are Memorex. Can anyone help with this problem as I do want the ability to backup. Thanks.

Try using a different make of media, I normally use TDK +R when creating recovery disc's but others have reported that Verbatim or Sony have worked well..
