Creating Recovery Software

Hi, I have just purchased a Sony Vaio model VPCY11M1E/S.

I am trying to create the recovery software and dont have an internal or external dvd/cd drive. I have an iomega external hard drive. How do i create my recovery software. Is it possible to do it this way?

No you cannot use an external hard drive.  You must use a USB external Optical CD/DVD drive.
