Hi,
My vaio VGN-CS11S will no longer recognise wireless networks. (it worked this morning and my old vaio regcognises my home network.) The device manager says the hardware is running correctly. Diagnosis on the Smart Networks says that wireless capability is turned off but it is turned on, only the on light doesn't come on. I've been at this all day and can't fix it, it's so frustratign because I am in the middle of exams and I need a working laptop! Thanks for any and all help.

Hi Gemma and welcome to Club Vaio.
I presume you have done the following: -
1. Turn on the physical WiFi switch (front right). Turn it on and off a few times.
2. Click the button next to WLAN (2.4GHz) in the VAIO Smart Network window - make sure the WLAN light comes on.
3. Right-click the WLAN icon in the taskbar and select 'Connect to a Network'.
If this fails you may need to reinstall the Vaio Smart Network utility and possibly the Intel wireless driver. You can download them from here: -
