Hi,
I cleaned my display with a tissue. Now I think I have some damages in the surface. Any ideas what I can do (except changing the display)?
I tried to make a photo. It's not very good, but I hope you can imagine, what I mean:

Thanks for your help!
Wow that photo is cool.
Now for the problem I would use some screen wipes to clean the smear off. Wilkinsons has some good ones.
Hehe, cant beat wilko's! I want commision for that reccomendation! must be the 10th time those wilko wipes have been mentioned by us 2 now kee-lo!
WOOAAAAAAHHHHHH:smileyshocked:
What are you doing with your Computer
I love my VAIO
Do you love your VAIO too?
I'm speechless.
Hmm. If they are just smears, try wiping it with a soft cloth and some lens cleaner (not ammonia based!).
If they are scratches, they will take some more heavy-duty cleaning.
It is difficult to tell from the photo, sorry. A paper tissue shouldn't scratch the screen too much, so they are probably surface smears.
Never ever use paper tissues or kitchen towels to clean a TFT screen. They leave lots of tiny scratches and the scratches are impossible to remove on a coated screen.
They make tiny marks too, nasty
help!
