Hello I have a dead pixel in the middle of my screen.:smileysad:
It is a SONY VAIO VGN-FS215B notebook. I paid too much money:smileyangry: , in the aim of having the best quality notebook ;however after only a month later I see a persistent blue point exectly in the middle of screen. It is very annoying that I can not describe it here.I heart that dead pixels cant be fixed.
BUT!What should I do?:smileyconfused:
If it's only one then Sony won't fix it.
I'm afraid dead pixels are just part of the LCD life.
Some get some, some don't
Sony follow the ISO Class II LCD format, therefore you must have a MINIMUM of 5 or more pixels to fail before they will replace the LCD. These can either be randomly dispersed or in groups.
On behalf of Sony i would like to stress that dead pixels do NOT spread and will permanently remain in place.
I'm afraid one pixel does not qualify, even if it is in an annoying place. 5 or more and the LCD will be replaced under warranty.
BTW: I am neither a Sony employee or engineer.
