Digitalcamera - Connect problem with the VP with the CANON IXUS 500

Does anyone know why I cannot download directly from my canon IXUS 500 to the VP. Please don't tell me they are not compatible!

By the way, i found another bug.
Sometimes in my VP the touch panel acts crazy, it seems like have life of it's own.
I have to put the VP in"safe mode" or reset once again.
Someone have the same problem ?

did you get the touch pad wet? they work in the same way as trackpads, which detect movement by sensing the moisture in your fingertips - so if you get water on the pad it thinks your fingers are on it. you can probably sort it by reinitializing the g sense in the settings menu. what do you mean by safe mode?

I think by safe mode you mean on hold, with the switch at the top yes? If that sorts your problem then it's probably a software fault I would imagine, the only non-software reasons I can think of that would affect the toucpad are faulty connections, touching the pad whilst calibrating it or a change in the moisture level on the surface of the pad (either by getting it wet, using it with very wet fingers or moving it into an area with higher humidity). It doesn't sound like any of these are the reasons so you may be looking a t a software fault. Sorry!

to get rid of this go to the settings option and then to g-sense settings and reset the grid setting...

you may have problems like trying to click on settings and the pad understanding something else but eventually you will be able to do it!

The only way that works, it's reset once again the VP.
I think that Sony could include one great acessory to VP, an clip to reset the VP :smileygrin: .
I don't know about you guys, but sometimes i do 2 or 3 resets for day:smileysad:

then id have to say your vp is problematic cause i ve had to reset it only once in the past 2 months!!
good idea about the clip,but there are many others around to use...altough an official sony clip tm would look cool!
