Does the VPCF23P1E provide an extra slot for ssd/hdd?

Hello,

A few months ago I have bought the VPCF23P1E and now I was thinking of installing a sdd drive to put windows and a few other programs on it for faster booting times. So I was wondering if the VPCF23P1E provided an extra hdd slot?  I'm not very keen to screw it open if I don't have a reason to.

If not does anyone have any experience with using a caddy on the disk drive and installing an ssd card from there?

Hi Daab,

There is no spare slot to install a second hard drive of any type.

I have no experiance of using a caddy with SSD drive but I don't think that you will be able to boot from this.

The alternative is to replace the existing Sata drive with an SSD.
