Dear All,
Can anyone help with sorting out my DVD drive. Although it plays Audio and Data discs it no longer plays DVDs. When I put a disc in, it trys to read but then nothing comes up. File Explorer does not recognise that there is anything in the drive. Also no error messages.
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (SP2)
Combo Drive: Matshita UJDA 745 DVD/CDRW
Software: WinDVD installed
Sony Vaio PCD-V505AP
Cheers & Thanks
Sorry, I don't know
I would reinstall the driver.
You can find the driver in C:\drivers
on the VAIO-Suppord
or you deinstall the driver from your drive and after this you make a system reboot (Windows was install automaticly the old driver)(I would do this as last)
Thanks for your advice and time. Have already tried this but still to no avail. Do you have any further thoughts - All are greatly appreciated
Cheers,
Alexander
