My CD-RW function hasn't been performing all that well. I've looked for driver updates but the only issue the update appears to correct is CD read speed. I am thinking of going down one of two routes as I would like to add DVD+-RW functionality. I will either buy one of the Sony external firewire DVD+-RW optical drives from eBay (as they appear not to be available any more, if anyone knows different please let me know) or upgrading the optical drive in my Z1RMP to a DVD+-RW enabled one. Having only conducted marginal notebook customisation I'm not at all sure how much difficulty I'm going to have upgrading the drive. The current one is that Matshita UDJ745 or similar. Will I be able to upgrade the drive without much hassle?
