My Vaio has a Net MD recorder built in. Unfortunately there's no way to record songs to the harddisk from it, it seems. Vice versa it works, but thus the device is only little more useful than a Walkman. Has anybody found a way to do what I possibly am to stupid for?
Otherwise I'd rather replace it by a DVD-RW. Some models are sold with this configuration. But on the Sony web pages I can't find it. My local dealer doesn't have a Sony catalogue or maybe he just is too lazy to look up the device, so he directed me to Club Vaio to have a look here. Can anybody give me a hint concerning the DVD-RW device?
Or does any normal brand fit as well? I didn't yet succeed to remove the MD recorder, so I have no idea whether or not the particular Vaio case surface hides drives of normal size.

Mein Vaio hat einen Net MD-Recorder eingebaut. Leider scheint man keine Songs von dort auf die Festplatte aufnehmen zu können. Umgekehrt geht es, aber somit ist das Gerät nur wenig nützlicher als ein Walkman. Hat jemand eine Methode dafür gefunden (möglicherweise bin ich nur zu dämlich dazu)?
Ansonsten würde ich ihn lieber gegen ein DVD-RW-Laufwerk austauschen. Einige Modelle werden in dieser Konfiguration verkauft. Aber auf den Webseiten von Sony kann ich nichts darüber finden. Mein hiesiger Händler hat entweder keinen Sony-Katalog, oder er ist zu faul, ihn aufzuschlagen. Er verwies mich an den Club Vaio, um hier nachzufragen. Kann mir jemand dazu einen Hinweis geben?
Oder passt auch jede andere Marke? Ich kriegte den MD-Recorder noch nicht ausgebaut, so habe ich keinen Schimmer, ob die Vaio-spezifische Oberfläche Laufwerke von gewöhnlicher Größe verbirgt.
