dvr-k14l problems

Hi, sorry for my english!
I have a sony vaio k315z laptop and I have some problem with DVD drive, Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-K14l, because doesn't "read" some burned DVD's.
Could be a FIRMWARE update question? They are available updated versions?
I think that my firmware version is 1.0.
Please help me!

You can chek for firmware update on vaio-link.com. But usualy firmware update help to resolve burning problems.
