Error Code 114

I have a vaio Model VPCEA3S1E and I am trying to restore the C :drive. the error message is 'Cannot use this recovery disc for this computer.Confirm the model type. Error:114'.

Have checked bios and details matches the Model above.

On the C is showing a recovery partition

Can you assist

Hi Clive and welcome.

Are you using the Recovery DVDs you made when you bought the Vaio or are you using the Hard Drive recovery by pressing the ASSIST button when the Vaio is turned off and launching Vaio Care Rescue?  Are you following the instructions in your Recovery Guide?

Error Code 114 is the error usually produced when you use Recovery Discs designed for a different Vaio model.  You may have to contact Vaio Support if there is a mismatch.
