Extended or clone desktop function on SZ433N

Some time ago the technical gurus downgraded the machine from Vista to XP pro. Now I find by a process of elimination that the extended / clone desktop function does not operate as intended. Does this indicate a missing driver in XP? Is such a driver available and if so where? Any other solutions?

We don't see many Aussies here on the European website - but you are very welcome.

The SZ-Series has two graphics cards - the integrated Intel chip for 'STAMINA' mode and the nVidia card for 'SPEED' mode. This is designed to save battery on non-graphics intensive operations by switching to the integrated Intel graphics.

Have you got the drivers for both graphics cards installed? Can you switch from SPEED to STAMINA modes? I believe this requires rebooting if you have downgraded to XP (Vista allowed you to switch on the fly).

I have in the back of my mind that the VGA output features you are looking for will only work properly in SPEED mode with the nVidia graphics working. Have you tried this?
