Extended warranties

My PCV-W1/G is nearing a year old. Having gone back to Sony a few times for minor ailments, I'm worried that repairs from now on are going to cost a fortune.

After 1 year old, has anyone taken out a warranty against breakdown and if so, are you happy with them and would you recommend them.

well i have 2 years as standard as i bought it from John Lewis and therefor in the second year if there is a fault then i go back to John Lewis which then goes back to sony and i dont even know what i am covered for as they have not given me anything to say what it covers i am guessing it is the same a year one. Plus i am guessing i dont phone Vaio link when there is a fault but go to John Lewis. dont know i find out when a fault ever occours
