FE41M: from vista to XP

I booted from my windows XP cdrom (official license ofcourse), killed the C: partition, and installed XP. Once installed, I can't get the WLAN, videocard etc to work property (read : the drivers won't install). I'm serious about getting back to XP, vista is a little 'too much'. And since the WLAN doesn't work I couln't look for XP drivers on the web.

Some drivers do work (e.g. bluetooth), other don't because I haven't got vista installed...

anyway... I spent the whole evening restoring the c: drive to vista again, but I still want to get back to XP, the 'good old' XP. Otherwise it doesn't make much sense to buy a new pc with better specs if the OS is consuming more as well...

If anyone knows where I can find XP compatible drivers ?
many thanks!

I have no idea if it would work but you might get away with the XP drivers for the FE31M. A lot of the insides are similar to the FE41M as far as I know.

Good luck, and let us know how you get on please! I've had my FE41 for five days now and I'm utterly fed up with it not working properly. I can't edit audio files and I can't burn CDs. The two main reasons I bought the damn thing.

Hello,
i had the same Problem with Windows XP and i fixed it.
Get the KB888111 hotfix, without this it wont work!!!
Then get the audio drivers from VGN-FE31m u can normaly install.
For the Wlan drivers go to intel.com and get the drivers there.

hope this will help u
