I have recently bought and set up the above vaio with preinstalled vista premium. all my apps and data and peripherals are installed fine, except for one external hard drive which does not want to work on Firewire port but works fine on USB. When I plug it into firewire, there is a sound (the computer sees it) and device manager reports the drive and the firewire connection correctly, but "my computer" does not show the drive. If i use the same enclosure with USB its perfect. Do you have any advice about this?
