Is there anybody that has tried this:
You need to format your computer. You copy the Sony folder (with all the sonic stage installation) and the library in the Vaio pocket or another external device.
Format computer. Reinstall Windows. Install Sonic Stage. Overwrite this isntallation with the one you kept.
Could it work?
Maybe saving some windows registry settings?
Conor456, I downloaded SS3.0 from the US support page. The link is in this forum everywhere.
Upgrading forced me to format the VP. I hope someone finds a workaround to use a VP with SS3.0 that previoulsy worked with SS2.3 or SS2.1
Constantine, in SS3.0, in EDIT -> Device Media you have a Info option, and you can see if the VP is authorized or not. If not, you can authorize it, registering from TOOLS -> My Library - Update Connect Authorization info. It's great so I can use VP in 3 computers. You need to have the computers connected to the internet only the first time (so they are authorized). Then, it works with/out internet connection
Hope this helps.
SS3.0 for me is better. Faster. Don't crashes so often. Better interface. My Playlist options is ok also. Editing in the VP is better.
But it's not a big change. maybe not worth the problems. And it should be called SS2.4.

I'll have to fotmat my computer when I receive the new hard disk. But what I plan to do is format. Then install SS3.0. Probably I will not be able to transfer music so I'll log in form there and I'll use another computer to validate / authorize that log in.
Then... voila!
I'll let you know when I do it (next week hopefully).
