Freezing when using itunes

A friend has asked the following question:

"Bought a Sony laptop the other day, and trying to put itunes on it but it keeps freezing, have you got any handy hints please?

I don't get it. It should be just fine. Be sure that you are trying to install the iTunes for Windows.
