Got motion camera to work under Windows Vista for Vaio VGN FE 31H

Hello all,i bought my Vaio FE 31H just before xmas and it came with Win XP pre installed so far so good:)

I upgraded to Windows Vista a week or so ago and have tried the solutions on here some have worked others not,i searched the net for the camera solution.

I downloaded a driver from here

http://scott.yang.id.au/2006/01/bought-a-webcam/

http://media.ylsy.org/download/vimicro-pc-camera-301x.zip

The driver is zipped but i ran it after extracting and the camera now works there is a facility to get a still from the motion capture but not tried this.

Hope this is useful for people wanting to use MSN messenger

Wish this had been posted before I ran into problems.

I just spent the whole day fixing everything

Hello again Lisa, thats great but what did you do,did you upgrade from XP to Vista Home premium,i`m just thinking that need to install something that i could have missed, any help you can give would be great,as you mentioned in a previous post took you awhile to get the computer working ok again with function buttons etc.

Hi Stormo,

Download the VGN-FE3 series Utitlites listed below from here and install in order

1 SonyUtils DLL
2 Sony Shared Library
3 Vaio Event Service
4 Setting Utility Series

Once completed then re-boot your vaio.

You may have to do this more than once..
