Hard Disk Partitions and their volumes

I have a Sony VAIO VGN-FE21M  laptop which has a hard disk drive partitioned into two drives, C: (74.5 Gb) and 😧 (67.5 Gb). The C: drive is largely for system and program files, whereas the 😧 drive is for user storage.  I have used nearly all of the capacity of my C: drive but very little of the D:drive. Can I reconfigure the disk drive partitioning to allocate more space to C: from D:? In other words can I manage  my hard disk to change the partitions or volumes that they contain? If yes, please can you advise how I do this.

Hi Ianmaccea,

welcome to Questions & Answers..:smileyhappy:

Depending on the disc space occupied by your My Documents folder, a possible quick solution could be to change the default location of your My Documents folder, use the following link to view a guide on the  procedure: How to Change the Default Location of the My Documents Folder
