How Many Dead Pixels?

Dead pixels are mainly a graphics adapter driver flaw, or you need to update your bios.

Just wondering how good your VAIO screens are, hopefully you'll have enough fingers to add them up!

I bought via the 'net so no option for this. I am very happy with the screen though, can't see any dead pixels

One appeared after a couple years

But you can hardly notice it, so not too bad.

None

The shop I bought it from tested the rig extensively before handing it over te me with a 8day-warranty to that.
I warned my brother NOT to buy those crappy medion "notebooks" but he did, guess what is in the middle of his screen?  (soon it will be gone for the 3th to be repaired, I am so glad to have a Sony)

Interesting point Oxigun, we hear a fair bit about Sony machines going wrong through this forum and it's easy to forget that, all said and done, they are pretty good - but then why else would such a distinguished group of individuals (that's us by the way  ) buy them

I had one on my old Toshiba laptop. Funny thing was you could see it on boot, but once booted it was gone. Wasn't very noticable as it was in the top right hand corner. On boot you could just see a pin prick of red, but as I said, it wasn't noticable once the boot was complete. That was my first and last screen with a dead pixel. Not bad considering how many laptops I've had & TFT monitors. Think I've had 4 TFT monitors & 8 laptops in total.
