how to deinstall My Club Vaio

My Sony Vaio C, automatically starts My Club Vaio when Vista starts up..

I checked under installed applications, and msconfig but can't find a way to deinstall or at least cancel the automatic startup of my club vaio?

Anyone who can help?

Hi Dalma,

You are unfortunately not alone with your problem, have a look at these threads Here and here... :slight_frown:

unbelievable..

The program is stored under : C:\ProgramData\Sony\MyClubVAIO

There are some vbscript files like deletelauncher etc etc..but don't exactly what it does.

Hi Dalma,

There does not appear to be a un-installer for MyClubVaio.exe... :slight_frown:

Thanks wshan04, it worked!! I had 4 reminders as tasks ti register in there!!

Only issue now is the Task manager says it is corrupt or been tampered with!! Any idea how I fix it?

Thanks for sorting out the club vaio start issue!

Cheers

Doh! Why didn't I think of that! Well, no matter... I'm glad you did! I also noticed that it was set to expire on the 12th of May 2007. Sounds like a very poorly implemented Sony marketing tactic.

Note to Sony: You should have made it easier to disable the reminder... otherwise it gets REALLY annoying!

Thanks very much for the tip!

Hi, great thanks for the tip. ROFLMAO..funny i didn't think of that..

Btw do you know what the reminders mean: MCVSurveyReminder1 (2,3 and 4)?

Did you delete this as well?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for that WSHAND4, very easy. I just disabled it, no errors and processor settles down to minimum very quickly
