how to deinstall My Club Vaio

My Sony Vaio C, automatically starts My Club Vaio when Vista starts up..

I checked under installed applications, and msconfig but can't find a way to deinstall or at least cancel the automatic startup of my club vaio?

Anyone who can help?

What was the name of the task in the scheduler? I found only two of them, which on first glance did not appear to be the clubvaio.exe
I did find the Vaio update that starts at logon, but don't want to turn that down.

Found it: MCV Launch (located in root of task planner iso under Sony Vaio folder 🙂

Hi jaydesert,

Welcome to Club Vaio,

You should find Myclub Vaio in Start > All programs > Accessories > System tools > Scheduled tasks..

I also had a similar problem with this. Myclubvaio.exe was NOT installed but a reminder kept popping up to download and install the latest myclubvaio.exe.
Thanks to your 'intell' I did find the problem also in Start > All programs > Accessories > System tools > Scheduled tasks..
I found 4 reminders like "MCVSurveyReminder1" scheduled to activate when logged in to windows vista. I deleted the little ######### !!

thanx !

Hi, I got a VGN-N21S/W and just managed to fix My Club Vaio.
It kept telling me that I had to download the latest version of the program.
Finally I found out how to download it so now i don't get anymore the message at every start up.
But now it's even worse! Every time I log in my pc the My Club Vaio program starts, quite annoying.
I deleted from the Scheduled Task all the MCV stuff, but I still get it when I log in.
Now in the Scheduling Library i have no MCV stuff, how is it possible that the program starts anyway?
Thanks for your help,
