Install problem with sony update 3

I have been trying to install this update on the SZ2XP/C Model but it stops very early in the process. Has any one lese had this problem and do you know what is causing it to crash?

Welcome to Club vaio..

Try this to update the Vaio update program..

If you do not see Vaio Update 3 in your Start > All Programs, then go to C:\Update and open the SOAVUD-01451800-UN folder, then double click to run the file SOAVUD-01451800-UN.exe.

This should re-install VAIO Update 3 on your vaio..

If your still having problems, downloaded the vaio update from Vaio-Link , then go to the folder that you downloaded the file to and then extract the SOAVUD-01451800-UN.exe files into a new folder..

Once the files are extracted, open the new file you created and click and run the set-up.exe file..
