I think it is going to be difficult to find the solution by trial and error.
The two most likely causes are a poor contact somewhere on the motherboard or a faulty hard drive.
What exactly happens when it freezez? Do you get any error messages? Either when it freezes (do you get a blue screen with error codes on it) or by looking in Event Viewer after a reboot?
I don't think the TX has any movement protection software, the Private Disc software should not cause the problem.
With this sort of fault you may need to get it tested by a pro.
