Hi explorer23,
Welcome to Club vaio,
Your PCG-K215B should still have a hidden Recovery partition..
Therefore you may still be able to create a set of Recovery DVd's by following this proceedure if this does not work you may be able to recovery your Vaio by following either this guide or by pressing F10 repeatedly when starting up your Vaio..
Failing that then you will need to contact Vaio-Link and request a set of Recovery DVD..
Failing the recovery, buy a copy of XP,its cheaper than Sony.

Hi explorer23,
The recovery partition may still be present, try pressing F10 when booting your Vaio.
If you decide to install Windows XP you can download the pre-installed drivers and Utlilities from Vaio-Link however you can not download the pre-installed applications..:smileysad:
Hey Thalamus !.........
thanx for fast answer (excellent !) - gonna try the F10.............
cheers.........
You're welcome explorer23, let us know how you get on..:smileyhappy:

I guess buying a Recovery DVD by Sony VAIO-Link is more cheap than buying Windows XP Home (System Builder).
