Missing Things After System Recovery

Ive just run a system recovery, and someone once told me on this forum i should i have the vaio camera capture utility pre built with my laptop(vaio ar21s) he also said if its not there do a system recovery.

Today ive ran a system rocvery (for a different reason) and installed all the drivers applications utilities etc and still i dont have the Vaio camera capture utility...any reasons why? and how i can download it?

I also dont seem to have the system resource management indicator by the system clock....how can i get it back there?

also i have reinstalled Norton Save & Restore but it doesnt seem to detect my backed up data on the D:\ drive everytime i try to restore a file it says nothing found

This utility is not included with your model.

It is included in the pre-installed utilities for the AR-3xx series which can be downloaded from Vaio-Link. I have no idea whether it will install on your model.

I downloaded it and installed it, everything works fine but it doesnt detect the camera....in the setting i put perfered camera "Sony Visual Communication Camera VGP-VCC2" but when i come to capture a picture or video it says no input......i checked the device manager and the camera is intsalled with no problems..........if it wouldnt work the application wouldnt be compatibale it should support any camera:S?

It would be my guess that the Vaio Camera Capture Utility only works with Vista. That is why it is included in the preinstalled utilities for the AR31S and not the AR21S.

but if so it would have installed the application and detected my camera
because if the setting gives me choice of which camera i want to use and mic etc i think it works......maybe it was released after Ar21S hit the market


Also does anyone know why i dont have that resource management icon in the system tray the thing that tells u ur cpu usage since i recovered its hasnt appeared:(

After doing multiple tests to see if its the application that doesnt support it, it seems that it the application will support it however there is a problem now with my camera as when i try running it with any of my instant messenger it does not activate, even after configuring its setting. But when i run it through My computer it works.....any suggestions?

If anyone has AR21s Can you please download this application and install it see if your camera works on it???
