Hi John,

Email contact is not available to you as your machine is out of warranty. Your only option is the expensive out of warranty telephone number - from the UK the number is 0905 0310006 (£.35/min)

Sony rarely release updates for graphics drivers unless there is a problem with the driver. If you need a more up to date graphics driver for gaming purposes then you will have to install a driver released by Nvidia directly. In order to get this to install you will need a modified INF file. Have a look at the following links for more info.

Hi John,

No, being out of warranty has no bearing on the Vaio Update problem.

There is a very long thread here that covers this issue.

https://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/thread/136489?start=0&tstart=0

Quite honestly as there has been nothing added for some months I thought this had been resolved – obvious not.

I suggest that you read through the thread to see whether there is anything there that will help.

In the meantime can you let us know which version of Windows your machine is running and whether this is the original OS?

Also what is the current version of Vaio Update installed on your machine – you should be able to get this info by right clicking the Vaio Update icon in the system tray and selecting Version Information.
