New VGN FW37-G and blue screening on me :(

Hi all,

So I bought a VGN-FW37G, 2 weeks ago. I connect it to my LCD flatscreen via HDMI so that I can have two screens.

This blue screen error has occurred on two occassions in two weeks.

Basically what happens is this: Both screens start flicking and the screens take turns to go black then come back on, intermittently between themselves. I struggle to see where I am, and then.... BLUE SCREEN.

The error says, to check the installation of my hardware and re-install it or something. I never installed anything, it just worked

I dont' want it to Blue Screen again, it's so horrible.

Does anyone know why it does this? Is it my cable, or is it a hardware problem and possibly where?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone at least attempt to help me.

Possibly send me a link to a website with a free registry cleansing download or something...

I have to be honest that I'm disappointed at the lack of a response!

Hi alcaponeza,

Your model is produced by Sony Asia-Pacific.

Have you downloaded all the software updates from their website? Generally speaking the HDMI connection will only allow you to display on one screen only if you are displaying protected content. If you press Fn+F7 until you get an image on your TV only does it still blue-screen?
