No Bluetooth icon

Hi Guys

I seem to have lost my Bluetooth icon in my taskbar. I have tried to enable it but, still no icon.
My phone will not detect it, so I can assume that it's not transmitting a Bluetooth signal

Hi Guys

I have found the answer
The updated bluetooth driver from Sony has a bug, so all you have to do is reinstall the old driver, and Bobs your uncle, it will work.

Hi atticmaster,

I’m pleased to hear that you have found a solution. However, did you run the manual update twice as the first run will uninstall the old drivers and the second will install the updated ones?

Hi Rich912

I ran setup from c:\drivers\bluetooth\setup.exe
This has had the effect of putting the blue icon on the system tray. I assume that this means it's installed. Having said that, I am having problems connecting my Sony ericsson w850i, but the vista updated software is due out next week. I am hoping this will fix it for me
