Hi I have a problem with a high-pitched sound that has been there since I first bought my Sony Vaioand started it the first time. It is sort of like a high-pitched humming that is constant from the moment I turn the PC on. The high-pitched sound is there even if I run the PC with the power adapter (without the power cord plugged in), and it is still there if the fan isnt running. So I suspect it could be a hard drive problem.Model number: VPCEB4X1E
Could have some advice on this? Is it a warranty issue? I live in Norway
Hi Ulluboz.
It is difficult to describe noises in words and what is noisy to one person is normal to another.
If you are unhappy about this then contact Vaio Support and speak to them. If it is a fault, it should be fixed under warranty.
To contact Vaio Support (you do not want Sony Support) click on SUPPORT at the top of this page. On the bottom of next page choose CONTACT US and on the next page click on VAIO AND COMPUTING. You will then need to enter your Vaio's Serial Number and you will see the contact details for your country.
Hi Ullu. I think the best option here is to call the support and let them here it over the phone. They should be able to determine if there's a fault or not.
As long as it is in warranty, you should be fine.
